Report of the Tectum AMA Held on the 19th of July
Tectum held our now bi-weekly AMA session on the 19th of July. It was a full house, and we even had a special guest, Alan Rogers, on the call. The former football player has always been a passionate community member. Therefore, it was a great opportunity to bring him on the call.
As with usual practice, the team
Tectum AMA on 19th July: Introducing Former Liverpool Footballer – Alan Rogers
The AMA began with Alan Rodgers speaking about his journey into crypto, stemming from his issue with using Banks in the United Kingdom. There is too much control and scrutiny with accessing and spending his money. He got into crypto and lost a significant amount of money.
Alan Rogers learned about Tectum around 2 years ago, when he spoke with some Tectum executives before investing in the project. While he did not fully understand Tectum, quickly realizing that our product is a game changer.
At the time of this tectum AMA on 19th July, Alan Rogers was in Dubai. He also stated that he is currently in Dubai. Alan mentioned that he is currently speaking with Alexander Gusev – the CEO of Tectum. Mr. Rogers commended the team for their effort towards promoting the project.
In his words, “a project is only as good as those behind it”. So far, Alan has been impressed with the effort of Tectum’s team towards promoting Tectum blockchain, SoftNote, Tectum Emission Token and other products in the ecosystem.
Mark Ross also weighed in on his own personal experience, stating how he was not convinced about Bitcoin when it was worth only $300. He also stated the need for blockchain, that enables people to spend their monies as they want. However, Bitcoin cannot cross the retail boundary because of its slow transaction time and expensive fee.
Partnerships, Product Launches and Other Upcoming Roadmap Updates
David track also shared an update on our plans for the next 6 months, in line with our roadmap update. He stated that the team is working towards launching the SDK. We are set to launch part of the SDK in September, with the full release set for December.
Furthermore, Tectum is working towards several partnerships that will grow our ecosystem. We are almost set to sign with a collaboration with a company that will provide us with CRM for the merchants and independent sales organizations (ISOs). However, we will only make an announcement once all paperwork has been signed.
Once completed, this partnership will enable people to use SoftNote at a point of sale (PoS). In simpler terms, using SoftNote will be just as seamless as using a credit or debit card.
Working with ISOs will help increase mass adoption of SoftNote, and the team already has a roadmap on how to execute this plan. David track also encouraged everyone interested to join the Tectum ISOs Telegram channel. Independent Sales Organizations will get a healthy compensation for every merchant they onboard.
Russel Sean, the CTO, announced that we have an upcoming announcement of a partnership that will create more utility for the SoftNote. We expect to make this collaboration official in the coming days. There will be a special edition campaign with several cryptocurrencies and partners.
We will launch a marketing campaign that will span numerous weeks. Individuals who own Tectum tokens ($TET) will also be eligible for NFT airdrops. Please note that users have to store their token on the Tectum blockchain for users to be eligible.
Tectum AMA on 19th July: Question and Answers
Community members were very bullish about the $TET token, considering the initiatives the team is taking.
Following the end of sharing updates, we asked community members to ask questions and get clarity on just about everything. Several persons asked the following questions:
How does Tectum get new merchants to onboard, considering its recent increase in partnerships?
Tectum works with independent sales organizations to onboard new merchants. Considering the efficiency of this approach, the team wants to improve on it by establishing a CRM platform. Through this medium, ISOs can operate more efficiently and receive their commission optimally.
The team will train interested individuals who want to become ISOs. As mentioned earlier, there is a dedicated roadmap for this exercise.
How does tectum release its token into supply?
Save for 10% set aside, we have released most of our tokens into the circulating supply. The only portion of our tokenomics left is what is set aside for Team allocation, which we will vest over 24 months and release every 10 months. However, the team has no need to sell these tokens as our treasury is performing well.
Another portion of $TET left is the advisor allocation, which we will not use or sell. Should Tectum decide to sell this portion, we have funds set aside for an “ahead payment”. Finally, we have an amount set aside for project onboarding, DEX pool, airdrops and so on.
In this regard, there will be no $TET price crash due to token dump. Everything left is on a tight schedule to reduce the volatility of our token.
When will the testnet mobile wallet be available for us to test?
The testnet does not specifically apply to the mobile wallet. However, the beta version of the SoftNote mobile wallet will go live in September. The process will involve releasing the trial application for community members to use, scrutinize and give us feedback. Nonetheless, this plan is subject to backend development and other factors.
Can projects that have submitted to want to build Tectum wait for SDK?
There are several projects wanting to build on the fastest layer-1 blockchain in the world. We are constantly in touch with them, and they understand that it is worth the wait. We have a clear path and are currently working towards it. There will be a hackathon towards the end of the year for devs to build on the Tectum chain.
